Eagles call interests Ajiboye

Dele Ajiboye

3SC goalkeeper, Dele Ajiboye has exclusively told supersport.com that he will fight to be on the Super Eagles final squad that will face the Harambee Stars of Kenya on March 23 after being handed a surprise call-up by Stephen Keshi.
The 23-year-old shot-stopper was among 24 players from the domestic league picked for the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Kenya and Ajiboye was astonished with his inclusion as he voiced out his happiness to supersport.com.

"I am so glad with my invitation even though I wasn't expecting it now, but I always have it at the back of mind that my time to play in the Eagles would come.
“This is the chance I have been waiting for and I am ready to do my best for the country of my birth," Ajiboye told supersport.com.

On his chances against the likes of Eagles' first choice, Vincent Enyeama, Austin Ejide and Chigozie Agbim, the former Pontevedra CF goalkeeper said he is ready to face serious competition from the trio for a place in the squad against Kenya in a World Cup qualifier duel on March 23 in Calabar.
"I know we have top goalkeepers in the Eagles, but I am ready for the challenge and I am confident I will do enough to be on the team to face Kenya," he said.

The erstwhile Olympic team goalkeeper also revealed that he will join the Eagles training camp in Abuja on Monday.

"I know the camp will resume on Sunday, but we have a league game the same day against Gombe United and I will be in camp on Monday," he said.
Nigeria currently top Group F on four points after two matches played.
