Sone Aluko was on parade for Hull City as they secured a 3-0 victory over Sunderland to qualify for the semi-final of the English FA Cup. Though, the Nigerian missed a first half penalty for the Tigers in the first half, he was impressive in the second half as his side booked a place in the last four of the competition for the first time since 1930. Aluko has scored just once in the last 13 games for Hull City.
Mikel Obi was an unused substitute as Chelsea demolished Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening. The Nigerian has got limited playing time since the arrival of Nemanja Matic from Benfica of Portugal. Mikel has made 18 appearances for the Blues in the league this season with a goal to show for it.
Kenneth Omeruo was in superb form for Middlesbrough as they spanked Ipswich Town 2-0 at the Riverside Stadium to secure their first win in seven games. The game was Omeruo’s first for Aitor Karanka’s men since his loan move from Chelsea.

Ikechukwu Uche was on for 90 minutes as his side lost 2-0 at Granada on Saturday afternoon. The former Getafe striker was caged as goals from Fran Rico and Youssef El Arabi condemned the Yellow Submarine to their ninth defeat of the season in the Spanish topflight. Uche has played 23 times for Villarreal this season with 12 goals to his name.
FRANCE
Enyeama was unbeaten in goal as Lille defeated Montpellier 2-0 in Ligue 1. Goals from Marko Basa and Nolan Roux ensured Les Dogues maintained their third position on the French table. Enyeama has featured for the French outfit in all games in Ligue 1 this season and has kept 17 clean slates in the process.
Sunday Mba was paraded for the entire duration as his side, CA Bastia lost 2-0 to Laval in the French Ligue 2 on Friday night. First half strikes from Hassan Alla and Christian Bekamenga ensured Les Noirs remained at the base of the French 2nd division with 14 points.
ITALY
Nnamdi Oduamadi was on for 84 minutes for Varese in their 2-0 defeat to Ternana in an Italian Seria B clash. The Super Eagles star who got a brace against Reggina in their previous match came off for Fabrizio Grillo. It was Oduamadi’s sixth appearance for the Leopards.
Ogenyi Onazi was on parade for SS Lazio in the Italian Serie A as his team bowed 1-0 at home to Atalanta. He was replaced in the 46th minute by Senad Lulic in the ill-tempered encounter that saw Antonio Candreva sent off with less than 26 minutes to the end of the encounter played at the Stadio Olimpico.
BELGIUM
Imoh Ezekiel was on target for Standard Liege in their 2-0 defeat of Mechelen in the Jupiler League. The goal was his 10th goal for the Belgian side this season.
Michael Uchebo was on for 90 minutes but could not prevent Cercle Brugge from losing 4-1 to Genk in the Belgian league. Uchebo has featured for Brugge 26 times this season with five goals to his name.
GERMANY
Chinedu Obasi got his first goal of the season for Schalke O4 in the German Bundesliga as they bounced from two embarrassing defeats to beat Hoffenheim 4-0. Obasi who was facing his former club got the second goal for the hosts courtesy of an assist from Kevin Boateng in the 55th minute. The 27-year-old striker who last scored for his side in their 1-1 draw with Mainz in 2012 has made six appearances for the Miners this season.
